Cinemas around Stanwell

Vue

46, Two Rivers Shopping Center, Mustard Mill Road, Staines TW18 4BL, UK – 0345 308 4620

This cinema is not cheap but you usually have massive amount of room in the seats as they are rarely full. Good sound systems and the staff are courteous and fairly efficient. Parking is great. The foyer is cavernous and could be put to much better use with better seating and screens to watch different previews

Sunday 23rd July, between 16.00 and 18.00. Screen, sound and seat comfort all good. Spent the extra and booked 2 premium seats just before the performance which showed only about three seats previously sold. On getting near our seats found nearly all taken by those who clearly hadn't paid the extra. Needless to add ours was occupied. What is the point of paying or indeed going through the pointless procedure of selecting seats when invariably they are occupied by others before you? If the staff ran a ticket check before the main film word would soon get around and it might stamp out what is a fraud. The toilets and main area were frankly a disgrace, the litter bins were overflowing to such an extent that people were having to put their food containers on the floor, and the men's toilet still had the "wet floor" signs knocked over on the floor which I observed both at the beginning and the end of the film. My wife said the women's had paper all over the floor and a couple of blocked toilets. This is not a one off, no one appears to sort out the toilets and with the minimum staff on duty they probably don't have the time anyway. The public areas were disgusting.

Sony Centre

Two Rivers Shopping Centre, Two Rivers Retail Park, Mustard Mill Rd, Staines TW18 4BL, UK – 01784 469988

Great staff. Will go the extra mile to help out. All the new Sony products on display to see

Great deals if you ask nicely!! 😁

EE

45, Elmsleigh Centre, South St, Staines TW18 4QB, UK – 0845 097 1205

I've found the staff on location to be very knowledgeable and helpful. However, they are let down by EE's internal processes. It never is a good sign when customers in front of you are having issues in a phone conversation with EE customer services. I also wish EE would not permit its stores (franchised or otherwise) to have premium rate numbers - it adds insult to injury to be charged for a premium rate call on your own EE plan for ringing up your own EE store about an issue with EE - in my case about the wrong IMEI number having been put on my account preventing a hardware exchange.
